Don't Tell Dad

SERVING UP LONDON’S
HOTTEST NEW EATERIE

Overview

A new foodie spot in Queens Park London, inspired by two siblings – Dan and his late sister Lesley – who believed the best memories always started with “don’t tell dad”. A bakery by day, a bistro by night, it’s a place that encourages fun and welcomes a little bit of mischief.

We created a bespoke brand identity with an invitingly warm colour palette, handcrafted logo and playful, often random, doodles.

Successful fundraise
(including securing the site)

Successful launch (including coverage
from Giles Coren in The Times
& Jay Rayner in The Guardian)

After sifting through cards and letters that Lesley wrote, we hit upon the restaurant’s brandmark – Lesley’s signature sign-off – three x’s. Used throughout, from napkins to staff uniforms to menus.

"I took the idea of Don’t Tell Dad to Kuba when it was extremely embryonic. We worked together to create the visual identity that I believe will last for years to come. The Kuba & Friends team worked with empathy, intelligence and incredible amounts of skill, to help tell the story of Don’t Tell Dad. The work that we did helped secure our site, helped us raise money and laid the foundations for an extremely successful launch. I recommend them big time”
